Best Offline Games on Android That Don't Need Internet

These are the best Android offline games. They include strategy, puzzles, racing, and many other genres. No internet required.

You don’t need an internet connection to play the best Android games offline. These games are great for long commutes or for wasting time away from home.

These are our top choices for Android’s best offline games in every genre.

1. Alto’s Odyssey: Runner

This seems like another endless runner at first glance. Play Alto’s Odyssey for a while and you’ll see that it’s not easy to put down.

Maybe it’s the music and graphics. This game is a refreshing departure from the norm of endless runners that are chaotic and stressful. It’s a relaxing, calm experience. Relax as you slide down the sand dunes and jump to collect points. Avoid obstacles and perform double backflips to earn style bonuses.

Alto’s Odyssey isn’t groundbreaking for runners, but it’s still very entertaining. It is therefore one of the most popular offline Android games.

2. Chess: Really Bad Chess

Don’t worry about the traditional version of chess that you are used to. You can also fire up Really Bad Chess offline to challenge your thinking.

The chessboard is still the same, but the pieces are random. The computer might have six rooks, while you may start with three queens or one pawn. This forces you to think outside the box and discard all your knowledge about chess.

Your ranking increases, and the AI’s level remains the same. However, it gains better pieces to start. This is my favorite non-chess game of chess.

3. Puzzle: Mazes & More

Because of its simplicity, solving a maze can be difficult. Mazes & More increases the difficulty of the classic game by adding some clever twists.

You can see the maze in the beginning of the Darkness mode. Then, everything turns dark except for a spotlight and you must find your way to the exit. Other modes include ice floor which allows you to slide ahead of your destination, and the self-explanatory traps mode.

Classic mode is a good option if you’re looking for a more straightforward game of maze-solving. There are many levels in each mode to keep you busy until your connection is restored.

4. Platform: Once Upon a Tower

Many game elements are turned upside down by Once Upon a Tower. Instead of a prince saving a princess from a tower and the princess kicking some butt with the sledgehammer, the prince is dead. Instead of climbing up a tower she is digging down.

She’ll be fighting all sorts of monsters on her journey, including ogres and spiders that can climb walls. There are also traps that appear out of nowhere. As if that weren’t enough, she must be fast or the dragon will destroy everything with its fiery breath. Remember gravity, the other enemy.

You’ll need to collect coins and power-ups as you progress through the levels. Once Upon a Tower is a great offline Android game. It’s fun, endlessly entertaining and a lot of fun.

5. Arcade: Jungle Marble Blast

The classic Zuma won’t work without an Internet connection. However, some of its knock-offs will. Jungle Marble Blast was my favorite.

Although the graphics aren’t as smooth, it isn’t a major problem. It’s still as enjoyable as ever. To shoot, tap anywhere on the screen. To swap between the two colored beetles you have, tap on the beetle. To create sequences of three or greater, shoot the spheres along the chain that runs around the map.

If you can, use those power-ups to send your chain back, transform a large chunk of the chain into one color, or blast them into oblivion.

Jungle Marble Blast is a perfect fit for the list of top Android offline games. It is small, long, and completely free.

6. Brainy: Quizoid

These brainy multiplayer games won’t work offline. Quizoid encourages you to challenge yourself and not others.

Quizoid, like other similar apps, asks multiple questions and you must choose the correct answer. There are several game modes, but it’s not just you against the AI. You can either play 20 questions with your computer or play a timed round in which you answer as many as possible.

Quizoid has over 7,000 trivia questions in 17 categories, including entertainment, sports and science. Category-based quizzes can only be found in the pro paid pack.

7. Laser Wars: Action: Tank Hero: Tank Hero

Tank Hero: Laser Wars isn’t in the usual “offline” game collections. However, it’s one of the most popular offline games that you can find on Google Play.

The Tank Hero is the one you play. You take out the other tanks using your laser-powered cannon. You must destroy all other tanks in each level. You can control your tank using a virtual joystick. To shoot, you can tap anywhere on screen.

It’s not easy. You’ll discover different tanks, power-ups and fiendish mazes as you move on. This will make it more difficult. Remember that lasers bounce off walls so make sure to use this advantage.

8. Puzzle: Sudoku (by Fassor).

Many of the Sudoku games available in the Play Store can be played offline. Fassor’s Sudoku doesn’t have an objective superiority; it’s the one that I love the most and works flawlessly.

This Sudoku covers the basics, which can be all you need at times. You can test your speed by using the timer and four levels of skill. Fassor’s highlight is the ability to write multiple rough numbers within a cell. However, you will be subject to a 30-second penalty.

While you can verify that everything is correct, there will be a penalty. These time penalties can add up and ruin your overall score. Your friends will see what you do when you connect to the internet.

9. Shooter – Smash Hit

Smash Hit was a highly addictive game back in 2014. It still remains a great time. Although it’s strange to refer it as a shooter it’s actually one of the most popular offline mobile games.

The game requires you to throw steel ball at glass objects in order to break them up. It is played from the first-person perspective. You can build up a successful hit chain and take out all glasses to get bonuses like an increase in the number of steel ball launches you make simultaneously.

You’re moving slowly through the levels and the pace increases as you progress. You’ll be able to beat the game quickly if you avoid getting hit by any glass objects. It’s not easy, however.

10. Traffic Rider Racing

You can take a different virtual highway when you get off the internet’s information highway. Traffic Rider allows you to ride your motorcycle and avoid the traffic jams of the city. You’ll be the first person to reach the finish line.

Traffic Rider is a racer that you have to beat in order to avoid crashing. The mission mode makes Traffic Rider a lot more enjoyable than other endless racers, as you can target specific targets and not just keep your mind racing.

You can also choose from other modes such as time trials or an endless runner. You will need to pass the mission mode first in order to unlock some superbikes that will satisfy your thirst for speed.

Traffic Rider doesn’t require 100MB of storage. You can also try Traffic Racer, which was created by the same developer. Although it is quite enjoyable, it only allows you to run endlessly and does not have any mission modes.

11. Action/Shooter: Major Mayhem

Major Mayhem is a great game. It’s one the best mobile games by Adult Swim, with a lengthy single-player campaign.

The title character is you and you must take down the bad guys. It is set up like a shooting gallery. You can tap to kill enemies or throw bombs if they appear from hiding places.

Your enemies will also attempt to shoot you. Make sure Major Mayhem does not take too much damage. You can earn bonuses for killing sprees and headshots. Upgrade your weapons whenever you can.

12. Fighting: Shadow Fight 2

One-on-one fighting games have been a popular way to pass the time since Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat. Shadow Fight 2 is available for Android.

To become a true warrior, you’ll need to master many moves. You can use the directional pad and punch and kick buttons to move. You’ll soon become a great ninja if you master the combinations.

Shadow Fight’s two-dimensional art style with silhouettes rather than characters adds to its appeal. This game is all about fighting, and not about frills. A great offline Android game that is well worth the effort!

13. Platformer Shadow Blade Zero

Kuro, the ninja might be your favorite game mascot. He will do anything to reach his teacher and get a message across. You can jump into Shadow Blade to cut enemies and avoid traps until you find your master.

Shadow Blade is a side-scrolling platformer that you cannot miss. While it’s completely free, you’ll see ads when you play offline.

14. Crossy Road: Endless Runner

Crossy Road is addictive, and it’s available for free. Beautiful 8-bit pixel art is available.

You can control a chicken that wants to cross the road. Tap to move in one lane. Swipe in any direction to move the opposite lane. You should avoid the traffic on the highways and the streams, and get to the green grass as often you can. You must move quickly! It will be a struggle to match your high score.

It’s also repetitive but never boring. You can play it for hours.

15. Puzzle: Lazors

Reddit’s poll of the best Android offline games found that Lazors came out as the winner. It’s easy to see why when you start playing.

It is both intuitive and challenging. Each level begins with at least one active laser, and possibly more targets. A set of mirrors, glasses or other blocks will be available for you to use. Place them in a way that the laser hits each target.

There are 280 levels, which get more difficult as you go along.

Mobile apps go offline, not just for games

These offline games are just a few of the many great titles available on the Play Store. Paying for offline games will result in better quality, especially when you have titles like Lara Croft Go. Fallout Shelter is another excellent offline game.

You don’t have to be offline to play games. Download essential offline apps for your Android.
