SLA Monitoring Tools

RMM Definition- Managed IT Service Providers (MSPs) use network management software to remotely monitor customer endpoints, networks, and computers. MSPs can use RMM to remotely apply patches and updates, install and configure software, and resolve difficulties, among other things.

WHAT IS RMM?

RMM stands for remote monitoring and management, and it allows MSPs to remotely monitor client endpoints, networks, and computers.

RMM IT software is installed on client systems, workstations, servers, mobile devices, and other devices via a “agent” (a small software footprint).

These agents provide MSPs with remote monitoring capabilities. The data from the client devices is sent back to the MSPs by these agents. This data comprises machine status, health, and other details. As a result, MSPs gain visibility into client networks by adopting a powerful RMM tool. They may so remotely monitor machines, maintain and update them, and even get the gadgets to anticipate problems and resolve them remotely.

When one of the RMM agents placed on a client machine/network discovers a problem, an alert (also known as a “ticket”) is generated. This ticket is returned to MSP. The MSP then takes the required steps to remedy the problem. RMM agents create tickets that are classified based on the kind of issue and its severity; this level of detail aids MSPs in classifying issues as critical or non-critical.
