Microsoft this week made Defender for Business, an endpoint security product aimed at small and medium-sized organisations, generally available (SMBs).
Defender for Business includes anti-malware protection, as well as attack surface reduction, endpoint detection and response (EDR), and threat and vulnerability management, and it works on both desktop and mobile platforms.
The solution, according to the Redmond, Wash.-based software company, was created to enable enterprises with up to 300 employees stay safe against ransomware and other dangerous threats.
Separately, Microsoft stated that Microsoft 365 Lighthouse and Defender for Business have been integrated to give customers with security alerts from all tenants.
Lighthouse is a unified administration site aimed to help managed service providers. It was announced in preview last year and is exclusively offered at no cost to Microsoft’s IT partners.
